My friend Marina, a talented Chef and Baker, introduced me to ALFORJORES a few years ago...they are melt-in-your-mouth Argentinian sandwich cookies. THE MOST SPECIAL COOKIES EVER.

These cranberry orange shortbread cookies are so delicate but have a burst of bright cranberry and orange flavor. They are easy to make and perfect for a Thanksgiving dessert! My cousin Laurie shared her amazing recipe; I added vanilla bean paste (because I am obsessed) and some Maldon French sea salt to give them my own little twist.
